SPECAL: This positive, person-centred method of managing Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia is based on a unique understanding of the individual's condition and enables their lifelong well-being.

The SPECAL® Photograph Album offers a particular understanding of the experience of the person with dementia. This leads directly to SPECAL's 'Three Golden Rules' - the starting point of the SPECAL method. SPECAL enables family, friends and key professionals to develop individualised, sustainable and transferable dementia care, ensuring lifelong well-being for everyone involved.

The SPECAL method is described in ‘Contented Dementia’ a best-selling book written by Oliver James and now available in paperback. Contented Dementia is available from www.amazon.co.uk and has already sold well over 30,000 copies.
